Vehicle Description
1928 Model A Pickup in WONDERFUL Restored Condition - Runs GREAT NO
old car collection is complete without a Model A Ford, but a Model
A PICKUP is what collectors strive for. This EARLY 1928 Ford Model
A Pickup is--without doubt -- the most desirable body style! The
Ford Model A was the Ford Motor Companys second market success
after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20,
1927, but not introduced until December 2, it replaced the
venerable Model T, which had been produced by Ford for 18 years.
This Model A is therefore an EARLY incarnation of this American
Classic. Not a kit or finished with plastic or re-pop parts --
this is an old, original classic. It is equipped with a 201 CI
Inline 4-cylinder engine and mated to the 3-speed sliding gear
manual transmission. This car starts up, runs great and looks just
as good! Check out the pictures. Coming from conscientious
ownership and restored some years ago with striking tan and black
exterior paint and the original wire rims -- with no questionable
upgrades. This exemplar provides the most desirable pickup style in
splendid condition. This paint scheme on this well-maintained issue
will definitely stand out from the rows of oft seen black examples.
The photos of e pain is accurate -- even the one little paint
missing area on the passenger front fender. This is easily touched
up. The finish work from the older restoration remains quite good -
and given the wonderful resources out there for restoring a Model
As, its no surprise that this one fits together well: All doors
fit snugly, a nicely aligned hood AND a very cool wooden planked
rear bed makes this old classic more than just a 2-seater. Check
out the pics of the bed - it is gorgeous. As noted in the pictures,
this pickup has not been over-accessorized as many folks believe
that simple Model As should remain simple, but it does have a few
functional upgrades, as seen in the pictures. The truck remains
largely original
