Vehicle Description

This 1929 Cadillac features open, four-seat bodywork by Fisher and was modified by a previous owner, including installation of a 401ci Buick Nailhead V8. It is finished in orange with a tan soft top over a black interior and has also been fitted with a three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. The car was stored in a museum in Utah for several years before the current owner’s acquisition two years ago.

The car reportedly underwent refurbishment in the 1970s, and the condition of the current finish is shown up close in the gallery below, along with detailed photos of the lenses, trim, and coachwork. Equipment includes dual horns, a “flying lady” hood ornament, and Cadillac-branded headlamps. A video walk-around demonstrating a magnet test can be seen here.

Wooden-spoke wheels are wrapped in wide whitewall tires. The tan soft top is shown above and is complemented by a matching spare tire cover and rear storage box. A set of side curtains is included in the sale.

The cabin features black bucket seats up front, along with matching carpets and a wood dashboard. An 8-track stereo and heater have been added along with a 12-volt electrical system.

Instrumentation includes an RAC water temperature gauge, a Stewart Warner amperage gauge, and a five-digit odometer showing over 22k miles, though total mileage is unknown.

The 401ci Nailhead V8 is linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car runs and drives, although the seller states that mechanical work will be necessary before it is roadworthy.
