Vehicle Description

1929 Chrysler dual cowl phaeton is an extremely rare and valuable vehicle. This 1929 Chrysler dual cowl phaeton is known in the Chrysler brochure as a town phaeton or sport phaeton, with its beautiful folding down windshields. Only 227 were built, and it is estimated that fewer than a dozen survive. This is a factory body, not a custom built body. Notice the unique air vents or cowls on the front cowl on either side, and on both rear doors. These are unique to this model of car. The model 75 is the mid range vehicle Chrysler built for 1929. It rides on a 129 inch wheelbase, and sports a straight 6 engine of 248.9 cubic inches. The motor appears original to this car. The engine serial number is R-278450. The car is a super solid older restoration, that can be used and driven after some work is completed. The Brakes will need gone through. the car has no steering wheel or timing levers for the steering column. One of the roof bows are cracked and the roof will need replaced. The engine turns over freely and the gearbox seems to e in tact. some trim pieces will need to be added as well.
