1940 Buick Super Series 51 Sedan. Original Straight Eight Dynaflash Engine with 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. Owned by the owner of Buick Dealership for 40 years and used sparingly before being purchased by the Current owner in 1985. Only 21K original miles! Monterey Blue original paint in very good condition with some scratches and other imperfections as shown but overall presenting a very nice original patina. All the body panels line up nicely, all the doors open and close without issue and there is no evidence of any rust on the car. All the chrome and badging are intact and are in very good condtion with minor flaws to be expected on a survivor car. Tan cloth interior in overall excellent condition with no rips or tears in the seating, a dash that includes 99% of the surround plastic intact and in excellent condition. All the plastic surrounding each window is also intact and in excellent condition - knobs on all of the window openers too. All windows operate smoothly and all the glass is in nice condition. Headliner in excellent condition as well as Carpets. Trunk compartment is very clean and features the orignal spare, jack and tools. Very clean undercarriage with no evidence of rust. New replacement gas tank. Recent mechanical work has included new hydraulic brakes and master cylinder. DOT 5 fluid was drained properly ad replaced with silicone fluid. Car runs, drives and shifts smoothly. Bias py tires mounted on steel wheels with original Buick hubcaps. Part a of a larger collection of well maintained antique cars. Clock, radio and wipers not currently working.
