A rare survivor, early Ford Convertible, with period patina worn paint and well used interior, make this mechanically updated car a real treat to drive and own. This beautiful convertibles 24-stud, 221 CI Flathead V8 (French Block) was rebuilt 2 years ago by H&H Flatheads in California. It was bored out to 3 5/16" with a 4" stroke and mild cam. The convertible top is new and the electrical system was upgraded to 12 volt. The stereo has Bluetooth. The 3-speed manual transmission features a column mounted shifter, marking the first time in Fords history that Fords had a "3 on the tree" shifter as opposed to the floor mounted shifters of previous years. The 1940 Ford Deluxe was designed by Eugene Gregorie and is truly iconic. The deluxe featured elevated trim and a conservative Art Deco design.
