DETAILED, READY TO COLLECT & ENJOY Featuring sleek, beautifully
flowing bodylines and Jaguars powerful new DOHC XK engine, the
XK120 revolutionized sporting cars at its historic September 1948
London Motor Show debut. While conceived only to showcase Jaguars
all-new DOHC XK inline 6-cylinder engine, fierce demand spurred
production, which commenced in 1949. Named XK120 denoting its
engine type and blistering factory-claimed top speed, the new
Jaguars prowess was soon confirmed by test driver Ron Suttons
132-mph blast in a lightly modified example on a Belgian highway in
1949. A huge boost to Britains postwar Export or Die economy, the
XK120 was the cornerstone of Jaguars 1950s racing dynasty and an
early mount for many future driving legends including Stirling Moss
and Phil Hill. Production continued into 1954, with the Roadster
supplemented by the Fixed-Head Coupe in 1951 and Drophead Coupe in
1953. As few as 2,678 XK120 Fixed-Head Coupes (FHC) were produced
1951-54, with the model featuring unforgettable styling and an
exquisite wood-and-leather trimmed interior. Numbered 679864, this
handsome, left-hand drive 1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe
features a rare and distinctive Suede Green paint finish,
complemented by luxurious Green leather upholstery and matching
carpets.
