1956 Bel Air Convertible, TRI-5 We have owned this car for several years( bought in ’06) we went through this car and did the following:
ENGINE BAY -removed engine- painted and detailed bay, Rebuilt the original 265ci motor, motor has great compression! new fuel pump, carb rebuilt, new HEI distributor, sparkplugs, wires, rebuilt alternator& starter, new hoses, oil-pan resealed, transmission rebuilt, new water pump, new main seal, new battery, battery tray, cables, rodded radiator and added new cap, new brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders,
INTERIOR- removed the complete interior, replaced carpet, seats were excellent, didn’t need to recover, just detailed, removed and rebuilt steering wheel with all NOS OEM parts, new horn relay, turn signal lever and shift lever, new chrome bezel, replaced all side glass windows(6), window guides and window felts, replaced clock, clock bezel and speaker grill, radio works, replaced seat adjustment knob and bezel, replaced drivers window regulator. replaced hydraulic ram in the power top
EXTERIOR – new locking fuel cap, new emblems all the way around the car, new reflector tail lights, clay barred paint, paint was excellent
