This 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pickup was reportedly acquired by the current owner’s late husband in the early 1980s and subsequently refurbished over a the following decade. The truck is finished in red over a red interior and is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission. Features include a bench seat, 15? Rally-style wheels, a wood-lined bed, a cabin heater, a dual-exhaust system, and chrome bumpers.
Cameo truck models were equipped with molded fiberglass outer bedsides and outer tailgate skins. This example was refinished in red and ivory in the late 1980s. Additional work reportedly included refurbishing the trim and brightwork and installing a wood-lined bed with polished stainless hardware.
