1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce 1.3L Engine.
This 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce is a project car that has been off the road and stored indoors since 1969 by the previous owner until I bought it in 2018 and myself in the last 5 years. Very restorable car. It is not running. Brakes are stuck, it does steer. But hard to roll because of the brakes. I can send more pics upon request.
The engine is a replacement Normale twin-cam 1,300 inline-four. A 4-speed manual gearbox is fitted. Engine bay seems complete. Transmission shifts through gears.
The body is complete but needs restoration. Original paint was white. The rocker panels are rusted and have been removed. Additional rust includes perforation behind the front wheels, other areas and floors. Floors have rust. The factory steel wheels show corrosion and other blemishes. Trunk is solid. The car retains brightwork including grilles, bumpers, rocker trim, fender-mounted mirrors, and hubcaps. A vinyl top and frame are present but need restoration. Frame can probably be reused.
The cabin is not in bad shape and has black bucket seats with piping as well as faded carpets, rubber mats, and a rearview mirror. Original steering wheel is in good shape. Door panels are very nice. The lower dash is not bad painted in red. Upper dash needs repair. Instrumentation includes a 5-digit odometer showing 37k miles, with total mileage unknown. The dash is equipped period AM radio, and an antenna is present on the trunk lid.
