Up for sale is a true Survivor. An original, numbers matching, 31,000-mile 1963 Chevrolet Impala hardtop sport coupe. Car is on its third owner who has had the Impala for approximately 20 years and only clocked 2000 miles on the odometer.
As far as paint and bodywork. The Chevy was re-painted about 20 years ago in the original Silver Blue / white top and is showing some age. Little to no body work is known to be in the car. The body panels are original. There are some scratches, chips, and some rust bubbles on the lower corner of the passenger door and the lower section of the passenger front fender. (see photos).
Chrome and stainless are in good “original” condition. Never re-plated or re-polished. All glass is excellent w/o any chips or cracks.
The interior is original except for the seats which were originally cloth and re-upholstered in the period correct vinyl. The radio is an aftermarket CD player with remote and a trunk mounted speaker. The headliner and door panels are in excellent condition and original. All of the wiring is also original and in good condition. Car did NOT come with power steering or power brakes.
Power comes from the original and numbers matching 283 c.i. small block with the original Rochester 2-barrel carb. The engine is backed by the factory 2-speed power glide transmission and 3.08:1 differential (open).
Wheels are True-Spoke wires with Goodyear 14” radials.
