Known History

The car came to Texas with the previous owner in 1982 and has been serviced at the same shop since. In about 1985 the owner started a restoration. The current owner purchased the car during the restoration and finished it in 1988 (replacing his other 356). He found the air conditioning in his 928S4 more suited to south Texas and the 356 was rarely driven.

Modifications

Electric fuel pump

Camber compensator

Retractable shoulder belts

Headlight relay

Other Comments

Price is based on current Hagerty and SCM price guides, not some pie in the sky number I see some people asking.  I consider this car 2+

4 Chrome KPZ 6042A,  4 1/2 Jx15 wheels date stamped 9-62. Painted spare not matching

Original Blaupunkt Frankfurt US – working

Multi speed wipers – working, washers not ('T" fitting ordered)

All lights, horn - working

Never used boot cover

SIGLA Windshield , DURVIT side and vent glass as was normal on B’s

Complete tool kit, however, it’s for a C, not the tie string roll used in the 63 B’s. (I’ve never seen a red Meskko pouch before)

Owner’s Manual looks “too clean”, is probably a re-production

3 small rock chips under the front bumper

Driver’s door a little proud at the bottom rear

Small area of barely visible orange peal on rear edge of passenger’s door

Scratches on one front bumper over rider

Camber compensator bushings cracked

Clock doesn’t work

Washers not connected (will work on that this week - 'T' fitting ordered)

Driver's door window scraper rubber chipped

I have tried to add photos of any flaws I noticed.
