Vehicle Description
The car was purchased used in a partially built, non-running condition in 1989. All body and suspension parts were taken apart and put together correctly. This included the doors, hood, trunk lid, brakes, rear end, and suspension components.
Drivetrain/Transmission
The engine is a 427 FE Top Oiler. Engines were purchased from Ford Power Parts in Norwalk, California, in the early 1990's. The engine was rebuilt at that time to stock specifications. Stock heads, crankshafts, pistons, and rods. The camshaft is an Iskendarian 256 hydraulic cam. The compression is 10.1. Intake is an original Ford Sidewinder high-rise manifold with a Holley 780 CFM 4-barrel carburetor. An electric digital thermal kit assures water temperature does not reach past desired temperatures. . A manual override control is installed.
Transmission is a Ford Top Loader 4 speed with a Hurst Comp4tition shifter. The transmission has been rebuilt. Clutch assembly is done by McCloud with a McCleod hydraulic throw-out bearing.
The rear end is a 9" Ford with 3.70.1 gears. Power disc brakes all around.
Steering is a non-power rack and pinion.
Wheels are the original wheels Exotics that are simulated knock off wheels. The outside rim and knock offs are chrome/polished aluminum.
Body -When the body was prepared, we did a lot of blocking and sanding to assure a mirror like finish. Paint is a "Ferrari Red" acrylic enamel. Car has not been involved in any accidents or repainted.
Interior gauges are VDO. Seats are covered in vinyl and interior is carpeted with insulation for noise and heat suppression. Safety belts are Deist 4 point harnesses.
Trunk area - The battery is located in the trunk area along with a 16 gallon gas tank which sits below the trunk.
There are no windshield wipers or top as car is not driven in the rain.
