This “Numbers Matching” 1965 Sunbeam Tiger Mark I came out of an approximate 32 year hibernation & rebirth, and now has a second chance at life!
It has been a 4 year long project of mine. Before I purchased it, it had sat for approximately 26 years in enclosed storage in New Mexico. I have put much more time and effort into this car than most people can imagine. The only reason I dare sell it is that it is time for me to buy a house.
This vehicle is listed in the Sunbeam Tiger Registry located at rootes1.com as a 1965 Tiger Mark 1 under its ID #.
This is a REAL, Legitimate Sunbeam Tiger, not an alpine hybrid or 'alger' 'tipine' or other creation.
260 Ford V8 Engine, dated 4E13 on front block pad with codes 4D24 on block above starter pad area accompanied by C40E – 6015B.
Engine code sticker on valve cover reads 1921
The original Ford Top Loader 4 speed transmission in the car has the codes: HEH – E with serial number 010472. Four speed “Short Shifter” handle with reverse lockout
