This 1965 Triumph TR4A was acquired as a project by the seller in 1995 and subsequently underwent a body-off refurbishment the following year. Work included a repaint, repairs to the frame and body, and refreshment of the electrical system, suspension, and brakes. Finished in green over black leather, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 2,138cc inline-four linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, luggage rack, chrome knock-off wire wheels, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Custom Autosound stereo.
Originally finished in Signal Red, the body was disassembled, removed from the frame, and repainted British Racing Green in 1995 following rust repair of the frame and bodywork. Equipment includes a black soft top, luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A tonneau cover accompanies the vehicle, and close-up photos of the body and trim are provided in the gallery.
Chrome 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and wear 165 series Tempra Duration tires showing 2005 date codes. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The bucket seats have been reupholstered in black leather with white piping and the cabin features matching door panels and carpets. Additional equipment includes a wood shift knob, a heater, a carpeted rear parcel shelf, locking glove box, lap belts, and a Custom Autosound AM/FM stereo.
A Moto-Lita wood steering wheel fronts a replacement wood veneer dashboard that houses Jaeger instrumentation, including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges in the center of the dashboard.
