SURVIVOR!  This Panama beige '65 Beetle is a pretty special car. It is extremely original and well preserved, low mileage example located in Colorado.  1965 was a big year for the Beetle with it's new larger windows.  They made a lot of Beetles in the mid '60s but finding a really pure low mile car like this is a rarity.  This was originally purchased by a professor at Stanford University.  You've heard about muscle cars with low mileage and that everyone jokes that the miles were driven 1/4 mile at a time. This car is an example of that ...  the professor lived 2 blocks from campus and drove it back and forth every day ... a quarter mile at a time!   Note the pictures of the Stanford stickers on the back window. There are a few little bumps and bruises on the car and it is not without flaws, but the condition being an unrestored example is pretty impressive.  Numbers matching original engine are all stock except for a 12 volt conversion.  Look at the pictures of the engine closely to see all the details ... such as factory hose clamps on the fresh air tubes and the original textured tar board on the firewall.   There are a couple of light dents that a paintless dent removal guy might be able to massage out of there. The car has very bright chrome, clean lenses and all original paint.  It has accessory bumper bars front and back.  It is clean and straight and impressively original. Check out the pictures Look at the picture of the oil sticker on the door tag.  13,000 miles in 1994!   On the engine pictures, look at the finish on all of the parts.  The cad plating on the air cleaner is still shining gold.  The original aluminum tag is still on the carburetor! 23,344 miles on the odometer.  This is the original mileage and the car is totally unrestored inside and out.  Never fitted with a radio. Look at the pictures to see how clean and well-kept this car is.  Even in the deep corners,  she is like new!   Comes with the original owners manual, original tool roll and original jack. Birth certificate from Volkswagen and verification letter that the engine number is correct California black plate as verification comes with the car.
