Vehicle Description

This 1966 AMC Rambler American convertible is powered by a 232ci inline-six engine backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include an aftermarket digital AM/FM stereo, a newer power-folding soft top, and a convertible top boot. Finished in metallic gold and equipped with a black convertible top over a white vinyl interior, this AMC is available now and comes with a clear Virginia title in the seller's name.

The metallic gold exterior features chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, full-length body side trim, dual side mirrors, and rear body trim with white accents. A new black power-folding convertible top was installed seven months ago.

A set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with gray centers and machined lips is wrapped in Sumitomo radial tires.

The front bucket seats, matching rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in white vinyl. As the photos in the gallery on the right show, the driver's seat does not match the rest of the seats. Features include a column-mounted automatic shifter; manual steering, brakes, and windows; new black carpeting; and an aftermarket AM/FM stereo.

A 120-mph speedometer, gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature, and warning lights for the alternator voltage and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 52,693 miles, which the seller believes to be accurate.

Power is provided by a 232ci inline-six and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that the carburetor has been rebuilt and a new fuel pump has been installed. Underhood features include an orange engine block, head, valve cover, and air cleaner. Additional features include cast iron intake and exhaust manifolds and a windshield washer bag. A complete tune-up has been completed.

This Rambler was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A single exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by manual drums. The seller states that the fuel tank has been cleaned.
