This 1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is finished in gold over brown upholstery and is powered by a 429ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes 15” wire-spoke wheels, a white soft top, Twilight Sentinel headlight control, automatic climate control with air conditioning, power windows and locks, an adjustable steering column, cruise control, and an aftermarket retro-style stereo. The car was finished in Florentine Gold Firemist (97) with a Sandalwood soft top from the factory, and is said to have been refurbished under previous ownership. Features include Twilight Sentinel automatic lighting, cornering lamps, rear wheel skirts, and an interior-colored top boot.
Chrome 15″ 48-spoke wire wheels are wrapped in Coker American Classic whitewall radial tires. Braking is from power-assisted drums at all four corners. The seller reports that the front brake drums, shoes, and hoses have been replaced along with the tie rods, shocks, idler arm, and a sway bar link.
The power-adjustable front bench seat is trimmed in brown upholstery to match the rear bench, dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Wood trim accents the doors and rear side panels. Amenities include power windows and locks, an aftermarket retro-style stereo, cruise control, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, and automatic climate control with air conditioning.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, with the actual total unknown.
The 429ci V8 was factory rated at 340 horsepower when new. The accessory belts and starter are said to have been changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The fuel tank has been replaced. Additional underbody photos are included in the gallery below.
