1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Resto-Mod in stunning Artesian Turquoise. Having gone through a comprehensive restoration top to bottom, this sleek muscle car remains true to its factory specifications on the outside and interior. Despite every piece of glass, carpet, trim and brightwork being replaced or re-chromed, it's under the hood and under the car where this build sets itself apart from your typical factory restoration.
The entire drive train has been updated to modern performance and safety levels including engine, transmission, rear end, suspension, brakes, and wheels. To kick things off, a brand new GM performance parts FB385 crate motor was spec'd for a serious power upgrade while retaining the traditional SBC 350CI look. GMPP aluminum heads, dual plane intake, hydraulic roller tappet cam, MSD HEI ignition, and Holley carb ensure day and night performance gains over the original stock motor.
Sending power from the new motor is a completely rebuilt Turbo 400 automatic transmission backed by a Gear Vendors underdrive/overdrive electronic kit enabling nice low RPMs while cruising the freeway. Putting the power down is a Chris Alstaon's Chassisworks FAB9 reinforced rear end.
Helping to keep the car planted are a full set of Hotchkis performance sway bars and springs as well as Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks. Finally a set of Wilwood rotors and calipers on all four corners ensure this Chevelle can safely come to a stop.
