One of less than 9,000 coupes and it’s a 427/390 4 speed! I’ve owned this car ten years and I just don’t get to enjoy it enough so it’s time to pass on this iconic machine to someone who can.The guy I bought it from owned it since 73 and he said he bought from the original owner. The engine is casting and date code correct the block is decked. Correct Holley carburetor. I had the engine rebuilt and it was bored 030 over 10.25 to 1 compression heads have hardened seats and has been balanced. The engine has less than 100 miles since rebuild. Matching vin on the m21 transmission, matching heavy duty 331 ratio Rearend, new gas tank and exhaust. Tires are old bias ply. The previous owner did some new suspension parts like the ball joints and control arm bushings and stainless sleeved brake calipers. The interior is very nice and mostly original, excellent dash pads, NOS glovebox door was installed. Nice gauge faces. The driver seat has one pleat that has come unseen you can’t see it in the photo. The engine casting dates are all c-6. 9 block #3869942. . I think this car has been stored indoors most of its life. I’m not sure how old the paint is but it still looks good not perfect and I think it is lacquer. Solid frame and birdcage. Headlights go up and down no problem radio works . The power antenna and the clock are not working.
