1966 Ford Mustang GT. This is an “A-Code” Mustang with the 289 CID V8 rated at 225 horsepower. This Mustang is loaded up with options including cold blowing A/C, power steering, power brakes and the Pont Interior with a center console. The front disc brakes have been upgraded with Wilwood 4-piston caliper disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The exterior has been repainted to the original Wimbledon White paint while the interior retains the original Parchment color with original 65B Luxury Front Bucket Seat Package.
The peppy 289 V8 is backed by a Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission that runs to 3.00:1 gears out back. Chrome American Racing Torq Thrust wheels give this Mustang a modern touch and are sure to draw stares. The car will come with the original spare tire and jack (not shown in photos) The current owner has added in a steel firewall in the trunk over the fuel tank and on the back of the seats, in case the car was ever rear ended. The trunk mat is correct and gives the trunk a clean look for shows. The engine is nicely dressed up with Cobra style valve covers and air cleaner and chrome shock tower braces.
The interior is absolutely stunning with the Pony package and woodgrain on the gauge bezel, glovebox door and center console. Rubber floormats with the running Pony emblem look great and protect the carpets. This Mustang has good documentation for the recent work that has been performed and drives like a dream. We don’t get Mustang GTs too often, and especially not with all of these options!
