This extremely rare and unique Mustang is one of very few "K" code hi-performance convertibles produced in 1966. These "Hi-Po" 289 V8's were rated at 271HP and were supported by a host of upgrades including higher front and rear spring rates and a stronger 9" rear end with the automatic transmission option being available with the "K" code engine for the first time in 1966. This beautiful example was meticulously restored under prior ownership, it is presented in Candy Apple Red with contrasting black top and interior. GT equipment includes front disc brakes, grill mounted fog lamps, GT gas cap, dual exhaust with "Trumpet" tips which exit through a special rear valence, and styled steel wheels which have been upgraded with dual red-line radial tires. Rare options continue on the interior as well with a seldom seen bench seat along with an AM/8-track radio, remote trunk release, Rally-Pac, and deluxe steering wheel. The convertible top is power operated and has a color coordinated top boot. This is a beautiful and well mannered car in all respects.
