Vehicle Description

Some cars come along only so often. This is one of them. The full restoration took over three years to complete. I would guesstimate that I have put less than 1,500 mi on the vehicle since I've owned it. Let me just say, This is for serious buyers only...must see to appreciate the level of detail and understand the costs associated with this level of restoration.

Paint & Bodywork: Vehicle was completely disassembled and meticulously put back together. 200 man hrs in the (3) drop-gates alone. Type is Sikkens. Color is Chrome Yellow.

All new rubber, mouldings, felts, and parts throughout.

Engine: 2016cc, Stage III, 78mm X 90.5mm, w/ New Webber ‘40’ Carbs. Builder Mark Stephens. Case is New AS41, Full-flow, Stroker. Crane Electronic Ignition. Approx. 140 hp. Easily cruises at 70 – 80 mph and stops on a dime.

Gene Berg Oil Pump & Full-flow oil system. Gene Berg ‘Balancing” Billet Steel Crank Pulley. All Sheet Metal Powder Coated.

Custom made & coated exhaust system w/ heater boxes.

Trans-axle: New throughout, Transaxle Engineering Built.

Front & Rear Disc Vented Rotors w/ Red powder coated calipers. No reduction gear boxes. Stainless Steel Brakes Lines.

Gene Berg Racing Shifter. New German Bearings throughout. Sway-A-Way Camber Stop Rear Stabilizer.

Adjustable Front End (Raise or Lower to your preference.

Wheels: Set of 17” Chrome Porsche Wheels w/ Caps, includes locks. Newer Tires.

Interior: Seats & Panels are a high-end Marine grade Naugahyde. Still smells new. Has appearance of leather but much more durable and easier to clean.

Stereo / Alarm: Alpine 8047 alarm “Brain.” Rockford Fosgate amp. Alpine detachable face-plate w/ surround sound speaker system.

Canopy & Truck Bed: Canvas material is black stay fast, same as Porsche cabriolets. Front & rear bows were powder coated and cut to make them flush w/ the cab. This was done to create a more “Cal Look.” Batons are varnished maple wood.

Other: Too many things to list. For further detail on mechanical spec sheets and technical items inquire w/ owner. Vehicle was featured on front cover and center spread of Hot VW Magazine. A great investment. Very rare & unique…another like it will not be found. Included in Sale: Custom car cover. File w/ all manuals, receipts, paint touch-up, battery tender.
