This 1967 Firebird convertible is the best of both worlds. A rare car by any of todays standards, it offers the ultimate in a muscle car and as such was a part of the Elkhart collection of cars. Big block, 4 speed, convertible with factory air conditioning. And unlike so many other restored cars, every single item on the car works and is completely functional. This car can be driven anywhere with comfort and does not require any bugs or fixes to be worked out.
A “RARE SURVIVOR” with pedigree & comprehensive documentation going back to the original owner. Only 3668 Firebird 400 Convertibles were produced in 1967 with less than 660 of them 4-speeds. Considering all of the additional options, it is likely only a very few were produced and survive today. This car was purchased from the original owner’s son in 1995. Showing it’s age, the paint was due for freshening so the body was stripped & refinished in the original Montego Cream color. Most of the chrome & bright work was in good order, just in need of polishing. The interior was & still is completely original & in incredible condition. In an effort to retain as much of the original patina as possible, this car has not been “over the top” restored or detailed so it can still be enjoyed and driven.
