Beautifully restored and numbers matching 1968 Camaro RS Convertible in its original color combination of “Butternut” yellow exterior and Tuxedo black interior. The Camaro is on its second owner who had the restoration work done professionally and completed in 2010. Since then the car has only logged approximately 1000 miles attending local shows and has always been garage kept.
Everything on this car is as it came from the factory in 1968. This includes the rebuilt and numbers matching 327 cu. in. small block rated at 210 h.p. using its original Rochester 2-barrel carburetor; the factory 2-speed Power glide automatic transmission; and 14” Rally wheels. Even the original ‘ballast’ containers used in convertibles for additional weight are mounted in the trunk. Rear differential is the stock 10-bolt open rear with 3.08:1 gears.
Interior and convertible top were totally redone to original specifications. Factory options included on this RS were the tilt steering wheel, Tachometer and clock combination (which work, see video), working AM radio, and Rally Pack console gauges. The convertible top is of course manual and does include the matching ‘boot’.
This is a non-A/C car with power steering and no power brakes.
