Vehicle Description

1968 Impala SS restomod. I purchased this in 2011. Car has been an Arizona car its entire life. Solid frame, floorboards, trunk, firewall. Body-on restomod. The following parts are new to the car-body mounts, shocks, wheels, tires, front disc conversion, all AC parts except compressor, interior carpet, seat foam for both front buckets and rear seat, stereo system, steering wheel, repro rear bumper.
The drivetrain is out of a 1994 Z28 consisting of the LT1 motor that has the following new parts put on it during the restoration. Optispark, TPS, injectors, plugs, wires, water pump, coil, ignition module, VATS and EGR disabled. The 4l60e was completely rebuilt. AC blows cold. Original differential with 3:08 gear ratio.
After moving the car into my garage, the following was removed for cleaning or replacing if needed-both front fenders and inner fenders removed,  radiator support, front suspension, rear differential. All hardware that could be cleaned and used again were set aside and cleaned as the project progressed. Anything that couldn't be cleaned was replaced with new. Frame was cleaned with a hand grinder and then painted. All suspension parts were cleaned and painted. Radiator support cleaned and painted. Inner fenders cleaned and painted. Floorboards were cleaned and painted. Trunk was not in need of cleaning. Interior-old carpet pulled up, floorboards cleaned. Adhesive back insulation was then placed on all surfaces inside the car with the exception of the roof. The headliner was not removed. New door panels from Classic industries were purchased and color matched. New carpet purchased and installed. Custom Autosound model USA-630 installed with two 6x9 speakers.
Once everything had been put back on the car, it was sent to a local auto electrical shop for final wiring. It then went to the paint shop
Exterior-The vinyl roof was new when I purchased the car. The front fenders had minor rust in the typical places and the hood had two spots where there was rust damaged. The paint shop removed the fenders, front bumper, doors, rear bumper and trunk lid, repaired the rust damage and painted the car in the correct year Ermine White. I have pictures of the restoration done in my garage to send a potential buyer if wanted. There are two minor things that need to be addressed. 1) Speedometer doesn't work because the Dakota Digital interface has to be installed. All you need is to download their app and install. The horn has stopped working. It was working up until a month or two ago. Most likely, the button contact needs attention. I have two spare clusters that will go with the car and any other parts that I have collected or were not used.
