1968 MG MGC GT for sale.
This is quite a rare vehicle, especially in the states, and it is being offered fresh from a local barn. This vehicle received a mild restoration around 2001-2002, was driven for a short time, and then parked in a barn. This vehicle was found under a sheet, taken to a local MG expert and returned to road worthy condition. A complete list of work done can be found below. This vehicle is currently sporting a British Racing Green paint job, original wire wheels (including the spare), and a very clean black vinyl interior. This MG also has a four speed transmission, a rare rolltop roof, working heater, working windshield wipers, working lights, and it runs, drives, and stops. Originally, this vehicle was bronze metallic, then riviera blue, which can be seen on the firewall. This vehicle is not perfect. As it was a barn find, there are imperfections, and I tried to capture most of them in photos. It does not run perfectly, and the brake pedal is firm, but the michelin tires are free of dry rot, it shifts very nicely, and over about 50 miles of driving since being made roadworthy again, I will say it is a roadworthy and driveable vehicle. The radio head unit is not installed, and the speedometer cable is not connected, but there are a couple boxes of spare parts, manuals, and paint for the vehicle. The list of work done in the past year includes:-engine overhaul- - new rings- - new main bearings- - new rod bearings- - new cam bearings- - new intake valves- - all cylinders honed- - new oil and water pump- - resurfaced flywheel- - reconditioned head- - carbs overhauled by Joe Curto- -new gasketing- new batteries- all fluids flushed and new hoses- rebuilt starter- replaced points and condenserPlease message me with any further questions.
