Vehicle Description

Chevrolets name for the Z/28
Camaro originated from a simple Regular Production Order (RPO)
option code but has since grown into one of the most recognizable
names in Chevrolets venerable history. Introduced in 1967 as a
homologation special for the SCCAs Trans-Am sedan series, word
quickly spread about how good these cars were, even on the street.
Then, after the juggernaut of the Penske/Donohue Camaros won the
68 and 69 T/A Championships, these race-bred 1st generation cars
(1967-1969) became some of the most sought after and collectable
muscle cars. This stunning Daytona Yellow (76) 1969 Z/28 is a
beautiful example of these high-strung, high-speed road warriors.
Lift the functional cowl hood and youll be greeted by the correct
and potent DZ 302 V8 (BCN 3956618, BCD B 2 7, TTBBD 02D), one of
the all-time great engines. This unusual block (3956618) was only
produced between January and April of 1969, which aligns with the
body build date, indicating its originality. Additional features
include power steering, power front disc brakes, correct Muncie M21
close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter (TAD
P9B26 B), 3.73 Posi rear end (BU), correct Black Custom interior
trim (712), console with gauges, Delco AM/FM radio, front and rear
spoilers, and brand-new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/As (215/70R15)
wrapped around classic rally wheels.
