Why This Car Is Special

We have a first-generation restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car
with its original JF stamping code 396-350 horsepower cubic inch
engine convertible we here at Skyway Classics that only has 1k
miles on it since the total frame-off professional restoration.

In 1969, the Chevrolet Camaro was chosen as the Official Pace Car
for the 1969 running of the Indianapolis 500 and as the Official
Car of the 500 Festival.
The 1969 Pace Car Replicas were designed to be visible and they
were being Dover White (correct paint code 50A) RS/SS convertibles
with Hugger Orange Z28 style stripes and orange houndstooth seats
(correct trim code 720.)

All were equipped with the recently released fresh air cowl hood
and were RS/SS convertibles with white tops ordered under RPO
Z11.
Ours is double rare as it is the 396 cubic inch model as well as
being built at the Van Nuys, California plant which only made about
30% of these Indy 500 Camaros made.
