1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 with bright yellow paint and a very clean black leather interior. Under the hood is the very desirable "S code" 390-4V V-8 engine with an automatic transmission and only 344 models were offered with this build. Likewise, only 4,000 convertible XR7's were produced during this inaugural year so there may only be a handful of these gorgeous powerhouses left in existence today. It is absolutely loaded with power windows, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, air conditioning, a power soft top and the factory radio.
1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 looks simply incredible for its age. It still has the 390 hood graphics in place and the yellow paint really makes this muscle car stand out. Likewise, both the interior and the black top are in excellent shape as well. The current owner informs us that this beauty has been kept almost completely original over the years, although he does not have documentation showing that the drivetrain is from the factory. He has enjoyed this one since 2005 and has ample documentation available on request to show excellent maintenance.
Additionally, this 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 is a tremendous performance machine with very nice acceleration, smooth handling and just a great overall feel.
