Vehicle Description

Real Plymouth Road Runner 2 door coupe(RM21), original 383/automatic car. Factory bucket seat, console floor shift interior. Numbers matching engine and transmission were missing, so car has been changed into a 1969 1/2 440-6bbl recreation for maximum fun.

Engine totally rebuilt, 440 Source aluminum heads, Crower cam, new Edelbrock intake and Holley carbs. Stock high performance exhaust manifolds, 3" tti exhaust. Engine dyno tested 475 hp, 534 ft/lb torque, carb jetting optimized. Torqueflite 727 transmission rebuilt to hemi specifications, deep oil pan, 2800 stall converter. 653 miles on engine&trans. Dana 60 rear end, 3.54 Sure Grip to allow some highway cruising. Car runs perfectly on pump gas premium. 11" drum brakes, power steering, Cragar 15x7 and 15x8 wheels, BF Goodrich radial T/A tires.

Body has new L&R quarter panels and trunk floor. Body is painted a single stage in the original Sunfire Yellow(Y2). There are a couple small chip repairs. Fiberglass lift off reproduction hood seals to air cleaner as the factory cars did. Interior has been changed from the as produced tan to black. New legendary interior panels, seat covers and seat foam. New dash pad, carpet, seat belts, and console body. New wood grain applique on console, new wood grain shift knob. Wiring harness both dash and under hood new, speedometer cluster refurbished, tachometer and oil pressure gauge added to monitor engine. All gauges work. Trunk mat new, correct bumper jack, and a spare tire added. New fuel tank and lines, new brake lines and hoses, new window seals F&R, new flip out latches on rear windows.

Performance: car idles easily at 800rpm with minimal lope. Putting transmission into gear nets very little rpm drop. Transmission upshifts smoothly. The car will drive docilely on the center carb; the end carbs open without hesitation-just hang on! The car has been tested on a local drag strip with drag radials, best time at the 4600 foot altitude was 13.43 @ 101.75 mph which equates to sea level performance of 12.33 @ 110.6 mph.
