Vehicle Description

1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible

Plymouth developed the Road Runner to market a lower priced, basic trim model to its upscale GTX. We have a sharp orange 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible Clone that looks and drives every bit like what they looked like back then here at Skyway Classics. It was built to emulate the purpose-built muscle car by Plymouth that was meant to go fast while retaining a spartan look and interior, meaning less weight and frills. Features 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible Clone Plymouth performance built 383 cubic inch V8 engine 3-speed Automatic transmission Power steering Power Disk Brakes Factory valve covers, intake, heads and block painted in Hemi orange "Coyote Duster" functional Ram Air cleaner assembly with the correct decals Factory Cast Iron Exhaust Headers Dual exhaust Original looking, clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment Black factory looking interior Bucket seats Three-spoke sports Road Runner wood steering wheel with the Beep-Beep Roadrunner horn Original looking dash and gauges 3-speed Automatic shifter in floor console Black carpet Matching rear seat and door panels Kenwood aftermarket Stereo Radio Orange paint scheme black stripes on Road Runner hood with scoops Front and rear chrome bumpers Great glass and trim Power Black Convertible Top Air Grabber Hood Beep Beep Horn Raised white letter BFG Radial TA tires Black steel wheels with small hub caps Satellite emblems Mechanical It is powered by the Plymouth performance built 383 cubic inch V8 engine with a 3-speed Automatic transmission, Power steering, Power Disk Brakes, Factory valve covers, intake, heads and block painted in Hemi orange, "Coyote Duster" functional Ram Air cleaner assembly with the correct decals, Factory Cast Iron Exhaust Headers, Dual exhaust, and in an original looking, clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment. Interior The Road Runner has a great looking black factory looking interior with black bucket seats, a three-spoke sports Road Runner wood steering wheel with the Beep-Beep Roadrunner horn, original looking dash and gauges, 3-speed Automatic shifter in floor console, black carpet, matching rear seat and door panels, and a Kenwood aftermarket Stereo Radio. It has a lot of originality to this interior and it looks as it did back when it was new. Exterior It is painted in an orange paint scheme with black stripes on the Road Runner hood with scoops, has front and rear chrome bumpers, great glass and trim, Satellite emblems , a power Black Convertible Top, Air Grabber Hood system, and rides on raised white letter BFG Radial TA tires on black painted steel wheels with small hub caps. Conclusion There were only 769 4-speed Roadrunner convertibles built in 1969 and only 177 surviving 69 Roadrunner covertibles in Galens Registry to date, so your chances of finding a real one is limited, if you have deep enough pockets to afford one.
