This GT500 428 SCJ Drag-Pack
It is powered by its matching-numbers 428ci Super Cobra Jet engine backed by the factory-optioned large-input 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and stock shift shaft and knob. Factory equipment includes a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential, sports deck rear seat, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt-away steering wheel, power ventilation, AM/FM radio, intermittent windshield wipers and visibility group. Shelby-installed equipment includes Lucas fog lights, 140 mph speedometer, 8,000 rpm tachometer, roll bar with shoulder harness and lap belts, and console gauges.
As documented by its Marti Report, this Shelby was special ordered in Grabber Orange, and is one of seven finished in the color and equipped with a 428 SCJ engine. This Shelby has always been well taken care of, retains most of its original interior and is in overall good condition. Additional options include oil cooler, upgraded LeMans connecting rods, steel crankshaft, forged pistons, flywheel with flex-plate, and harmonic balancer - all of which were mandatory with the Super Cobra Jet option.
