1970 Plymouth Cuda 340 4-speed
Offered for sale is a beautiful 1970 Plymouth Cuda 340.
This is true 340 4-speed car. The car underwent a complete rotisserie restoration by a professional shop in 2006. The car has been driven about 3000 miles since the restoration. This has been a great car, both to drive and show, but now it's time to go to a new home.

More details:
ENGINE -
The car has a non-matching 340 engine. The engine was totally rebuilt with .030 over-bore, and balanced rotating assembly. It's equipped with correct J-heads, stock valve covers, and stock high performance exhaust manifolds. The intake manifold is an aluminum edelbrock, with holley 750 double-pumper carburetor. The radiator is the correct 2998974 for 340 E-bodies. The exhaust is a TTi 2 1/2" system with dynomax turbo mufflers and stainless tips. The ignition has been upgraded with a Mopar electronic ECU and distributor. On top the engine sits the awesome "shaker" air cleaner, (control cables and doors are not installed).
BODY -
Body was restored with new trunk floor and partial rear-quarters. The car still has its original floors, rockers, and frame rails - they are solid, with a small patch repair in the driver side foot-well (repair is invisible). One of the fenders was replaced with a NOS piece, the other is original. A new rear valance was installed, the front is original. The gas tank and sender were replaced. Door and quarter glass are factory pieces but do show a few very minor scratches. The windshield and back glass were replaced with new and are excellent. Bumpers were re-chromed and the stainless trim is excellent. There is a small crack in the plastic front grille (very common on 1970 Cudas). As mentioned, the car underwent a complete rotisserie restoration, painted in EV2 Hemi Orange (Plymouth "Tor-red"). Body is completely painted top and bottom. The car came originally with the standard sport hood but has been upgraded with the much-cooler "shaker" hood!
SUSPENSION and DRIVETRAIN -
Both front and rear suspension were rebuilt with all new bushings, ball joints, and shocks. The car came equipped with power front disc brakes, rear drums, and heavy duty front and rear sway bars. The 8 3/4 rear was re-built with new seals and bearings. The original 3:55 ratio cone-style sure-grip center-section was replaced with 3:23 ratio clutch-style sure grip unit (much more durable). The non-matching 833 4-speed is completely rebuilt, and is paired with a Centerforce clutch. The car rolls on new mopar rallye wheels, 7x15 in front with 235-60 BFG T/A tires, and 8x15 255-60 BFG T/A's in back.
INTERIOR -
The interior is excellent. The seat upholstery, carpeting, and headliner were all replaced. Legendary seat covers were used. The interior door panels and seat-backs are excellent originals, not re-pops. New door sill plates were installed, along with a correct 1970 4-speed console and a complete set of correct seat belts. A new dash has been installed with a rallye instrument cluster, including the factory tach. All the gauges work, however the clock is not working (most likely needs the contacts cleaned). The car has an aftermarket stereo installed under the dash with factory appearing under-deck rear speakers, a factory AM/FM radio is installed in the correct dash location (it works - but is not hooked up). Inside the trunk is the period-correct space saver spare and correct 1970 jack.
