THIS ORIGINAL MACH 1 IS UNRESTORED,NOT DRIVEN IN SNOW AND HAS BEEN MODIFIED WITH A VERY SPECIAL DRIVETRAIN.OLDER PAINT SHOWS NO FADING WITH SOME SMALL IMPERFECTIONS AND SUPER GLOSS.RETAINING MOST OF THE ORIGINAL BODY PANELS
THIS ENGINE NOW HAS AROUND 20,000 MILES ON IT.ALL THE BEST PARTS WERE USED IN THIS BUILD-UP.1965 CROSS DRILLED STEEL CRANKSHAFT,LEMANS CAPSCREW RODS WITH THICKER NASCAR ROD BOLTS,TRW NOS FORGED PISTONS STD 4.233 BORE WITH THE SMALL DOME NOW YIELDS ABOUT 12:1 COMPRESSION.ON TOP ARE SOME MINT 427 TUNNEL PORT HEADS WITH SOLID STEM STEEL VALVES AND CUT/SHAVED APPROX .050.THE INTAKE IS THE RARE EXPERIMENTAL GT-40 DUAL PLANE C7OE-B DUAL FOUR BARRELL TUNNEL PORT OF WHICH ONLY A HANDFULL WERE EVER MADE.
ON TOP OF THAT IS 2 AFB ALUMINUM CARBURETORS TAKEN FROM 2 DIFFERENT 1964 GTOs.ROUNDING OUT THE RACING GOODS FOR THIS ENGINE ARE A COMPETITION CAMS SOLID ROLLER OF .665 LIFT AND 288 DURATION WITH PROSTOCK ENGINEERING ROLLER ROCKERS AND FACTORY PENT-ROOF VALVE COVERS.
THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT AND ORIGINALLY CAME FROM A 1969 428 COBRA JET MACH 1 WITH A 1 3/8 LARGE INPUT SHAFT (RUG AE1).OUT IN THE REAR IS A 31 SPLINE FACTORY TRACTION LOC SET UP WITH 4:11 GEARS.ALL FRONT SUSPENSION WAS REBUILT ABOUT 5000 MILES AGO WITH ALL NEW URETHANE BUSHINGS
