Vehicle Description

Body And Paint

Prior to its cosmetic restoration by Zanasi, the car was still wearing original paint. A post-strip photo shows no real corrosion issues with a clean straight body. Today the car wears near show quality paint albeit with some minor imperfections. Such as on the passenger side where the hood meets the fender, there is a small, less than dime size spot that is slightly lifting. A small chip by the driver’s side headlight. Very small dent about half an inch in size on very front part of nose just three inches left of center but difficult to notice. A few very minor chips on the lower valence. Very small blemish on the passenger side belt line that is only noticeable in the right lighting. Lastly, two extremely small bubbles on passenger rear wheel arch.

Glass And Trim

No scratches or cracks on any of the glass noted with the exception of the drivers side rear window.

Wheels

The wheels show as having been previously restored but from use have minor blemishes and could use further detailing to improve presentation.

Seats And Surfaces

With so few documented original miles, we believe the interior to be entirely original with perhaps the exception of the carpets though it is difficult to say as it is an original low mileage car. The seats, dash, headliner, and door panels are certainly original with a perfect patina.

Engine Bay

The engine bay shows as highly correct, clean, tidy and with little to note in the way of issues of any kind. During the refurbishment the cosmetics of the engine bay were tended to as needed, but rebuilding of components were only done on an as needed basis.

Trunk Area

The trunk area remains correct and in stock configuration. Appearing original overall.

Engine

The engine starts effortlessly and once warm shows excellent oil pressure, holding temperature consistently. The Colombo V12 makes copious amounts of power with no stumbling, enormous amounts of torque, and the full rev range easily available at all times.

Transmission

The transmission shifts smoothly with the common hesitation for second when cold, but no synchro issues or anything abnormal. Every gear is better than the last as expected from such a low-mileage example.

Brakes And Suspension

The brakes bite when prompted with no warping, feedback, or pulling of any kind. The suspension is excellent with quick, tight turn in, supplely absorbing bumps while still firm during cornering. The only item to note is in the right rear where a slight noise occurs upon take off from a stop and over harsh bumps. Likely a bad U-Joint or a suspension bushing, in either case, minor, and should see adjustment/replacement.
