 The Ford LTD is a full-size range of automobiles manufactured from 1965-1986. Introduced as the highest trim level of Fords full-size range, at various times during its production the LTD range included 2 and 4-door Hardtops and Sedans, a 2-door convertible, and the Country Squire station wagon. Admired for their comfort and value, LTD sedans were produced by the millions and are often overlooked as collector cars. This rare 1972 Ford LTD Convertible, however, is one of 9984 ever built and one of only 4234 produced in 72. Lift the hood and youll see the numbers matching (2U175583) 429 V8 that went into only 566 Convertibles! Now consider that only 124 were ordered with Ivy Glow Metallic paint (4C), and you can see this is a unicorn. Additional features include power steering, power front disc brakes, power top, stout C6 automatic transmission, bulletproof Ford 9 rear end with 2.75 gears and Traction-Lok differential, correct Green Vinyl Bench Seat (FRC), an AM/FM stereo, and chrome wheels wearing 225/75R15 tires. The original AM radio with stereosonic 8-Track tape player (!) and original wheels and caps are included. Documentation includes original window sticker, warranty card, installment contract, invoice, registration, and owners manual! Also, the steering box, carburetor, rear end, and engine are all still wearing their factory tags. Wow.
