Vehicle Description

his 1973 Chevrolet Camaro was nicknamed “The Weapon” in the 1980s after being modified during previous ownership and was acquired by the seller in 2000. The car is finished in candy blue over a blue vinyl and velour interior and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 4.11:1 gears. Equipment includes a cowl hood, custom-painted graphics, a NOS nitrous system, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Hooker headers, power steering, power front disc brakes, chrome 15″ Weld Racing wheels, subframe connectors, a Hurst lightning rod shifter, an Alpine cassette stereo, and chrome-plated underbody, engine, and suspension components. This Camaro is offered with manufacturer’s literature, service invoices, ownership documents, and a Ohio title in the seller’s Company name.  This Camaro has very low miles of 25,740 and miles are marked "Actual" on the clean new Ohio title and also on the previous California title miles were marked "Actual."  Between 1981 and 1989 The original owners completely restored this Camaro into a custom show car called "The Weapon."  The family used it as a show car and it won trophies at numerous prestigious shows over the years and the car was published numerous times.  Over $37,000 was spent on the restoration between 1981 and 1987 and those costs are fully documented on 4 pages of handwritten text.  Also included are two full binders with piles of receipts and product brochures and the original bill of sale and several dealer documents and manuals.  This is truly a one of a kind build and it remains in the same configuration in which it was built between 1981 and 1989.  The Weapon remains The Weapon.
The body was repainted in candy blue during previous ownership. Features include a cowl hood, custom-painted graphics, chrome bumpers, polished rocker trim, body-colored sport mirrors, dual chrome exhaust finishers that exit behind the rear wheels, and circular taillamps with integrated reverse lamps.  Chrome 15″ Weld Racing wheels are mounted with Euro BF Goodrich Radial T/A 60H white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering, subframe connectors, and chrome-plated leaf springs. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and chrome-plated rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in blue vinyl with diamond pattern velour inserts. Equipment includes a diamond-stitched package tray, blue carpeted floormats, a Hurst lightning rod shifter, a chrome fire extinguisher, aftermarket speakers, and an Alpine cassette stereo. A NOS nitrous bottle and battery box are mounted to the carpeted trunk floor.  The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. An Autometer tachometer is mounted above the instrument panel and a trio of auxiliary gauges is mounted below the center of the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 25,740 miles which shows as actual miles on current Ohio title and previous California title.
The 350ci V8 features a NOS nitrous system, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an aftermarket camshaft, Hooker headers, finned valve covers, and a chrome-plated alternator, radiator cover, air cleaner assembly, hood latch, and serpentine drive system.  Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 4.11:1 gears. The underbody is painted in blue and features chrome-plated fuel tank straps. The dual exhaust system features Flowmaster mufflers.  The underside is fully detailed and custom and in show condition still after 35 plus years since completion.
Manufacturer’s literature, service invoices, and a binder featuring vehicle history documents are included in the sale.
