Vehicle Description

For sale is this incredible fully loaded 1973 Mustang Convertible, with its' original 351 Cleveland engine, automatic transmission, ice cold factory air conditioning, AM-FM stereo radio, full console, tachometer, gauges, power steering, power disc brakes, power top with glass rear window, and more.

It underwent a full ground up restoration and still shows like new. The original factory invoice/Eminger sheet along with TWO original build sheets go with the car to document its' list of factory options.

The car was previously owned and restored by a former President of the Mustang Club of America, so you know the car was done right, using all correct fasteners and the best parts available. No attention to detail was overlooked. Just look at the photos and you will see a lot of work went into this car.

Open the hood and you will find the correct belts, hoses, starter solenoid, voltage regulator, yellow top coil, air cleaner, decals, and other authentic touches. Look under the car and you will find concourse correct suspension components with correct factory paint daubs, correct paint over spray patterns, and a detailed driveshaft with the correct identifying paint stripes.

Open the trunk and you will find the correct splatter paint, a new trunk mat, the correct scissors jack, lug wrench, spare tire, and mounting hardware. This car even has a new top boot with its' original born with top boot bag!

Open the door and you will find the correct date coded seat belts, a flawless dash pad, beautiful factory steering wheel, and flawless seat covers with the impossible to find original interwoven comfort weave inserts that are no longer available. It's things like these that lead me to believe that this is a true low mileage car with actual mileage as shown on the speedometer.

The prior owner added front and rear spoilers, side stripes, and the "Tu-tone Hood Option," complete with a NASA style scooped hood painted with the correct matte black finish and sporting functional hood locks. He also added a dual exhaust system with the correct H pipe, mufflers, and turn downs, a honeycomb rear panel, and an NOS pop open gas cap. And lastly, he changed the factory copper color to its' current (and more desirable) color of Medium Bright Yellow.

The body on this car is absolutely flawless with no signs of filler or rust repair anywhere on the vehicle. The quarter panels, trunk floor, trunk drop offs, deck lid, doors, passenger floors, front fenders, fender aprons, and front and rear valances are original to the car with no signs of repair of any kind.

Even the tail light panel and battery box appear to be original. You won't find reproduction metal anywhere on this car. As a matter of fact, if you pull up the carpet you will see that the passenger floors are still covered in factory paint that looks like it was applied yesterday. Even the bright work, stainless trim, and chrome on the car is flawless!

After I got the car, I spent some time and money "freshening up" the car. This included completely cleaning and detailing the interior, replacing the carpet and underlayment, buffing the paint to a high gloss, repainting the front bumper and rear spoiler, putting in a new windshield with the correct "Carlite" logo, adding brand new Magnum 500 wheels and center caps, as well as attending to any minor issues to make sure that everything on the car worked as it should.

To get the A/C working properly, I replaced everything from the front to the back of the system. This included a new concourse correct condenser, NOS compressor, new A/C hoses, expansion valve, receiver dryer, and fan motor. The car was converted over to R134 and blows ICE cold.

I replaced the dash lights and installed a new shifter bezel. I also installed new door speakers so the radio sounds great. The horn, tachometer, gauges, turn signals, brake lights, headlights, windshield wipers, and cigarette lighter all work perfectly. The clock even keeps great time but only twice a day??.

This car looks, drives, runs, and performs perfectly.
