Vehicle Description
Produced in 1973 known as the 1973.5 CIS 911T, one of the last
long-hood Porsches, featuring the new Bosch CIS fuel-injection
system, and improved 915 manual 5-speed transmission. This
particular example was originally finished in Viper Green (225)
with a black leatherette interior.
The Viper Green paintwork is original. This color was offered by
Porsche in the late 1960s and early 1970s, then reintroduced in the
2000s to enhance the newer Carrera models. The exterior is
complemented by chrome/black rubber deco trim, black rubber
bumperettes both front and rear, chrome door handles, window
brightwork, and a driver-side mirror. Older Michelin XWX 185/70 VR
tires are mounted on iconic 15" Fuchs alloy rims. The black
leatherette interior is very original and complete with the
original dash, steering wheel, VDO gauges, front and rear seats,
and door pockets.
This 911T features a 2.4L air-cooled, flat-six engine with a CIS
fuel injection system, producing 140hp with a 5-speed 915
transmission with four-wheel disc brakes. The seller notes the
engine does not run.
This 911 provides the buyer with many restoration options, from
returning it to factory condition to creating a unique 911 that
incorporates personal choice in color, trim, body modifications,
engine/transmission enhancements, and wheel/tire choices.
The sale of this 1973.5 Porsche 911 T Coupe (Project), located in
California, will include a clear title and full-size spare.
