Vehicle Description

Cadillac stated in its 1974 sales literature that Webster defined
"Talisman" as "something producing apparently magical or miraculous
effects." Cadillac indicated that it did, as well. This is truly
the Cadillac Collectors Unicorn. This example is an estate car
with much documentation and a very early production number most
likely indicating it was a Dealer PR car for Brogan Cadillac. This
example is ready for a new home with a collector who will either
appreciate its honest patina or will restore it to its showroom
glory as the most expensive domestic production car that year. Of
note is that the 1974 units are the only ones with both front AND
rear consoles making this a large 2+2 limousine. This Talisman is
finished in Chesterfield Brown Metallic and Medium Amber Velour
further adding to its period charm. of the approx 1800 Talisman
units it is estimated that only 38 were in this combo making it
truly rare. This car also still retians both set of its floor mats
and is incredibly complete and in driver condition. Cadillac
introduced a new model for the Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham
series in 1974-the Fleetwood Talisman Quite simply, it was
Cadillacs ultimate in individual luxury and comfort for four
people. Personal comfort was guaranteed by providing only four
seats inside to ensure each passenger the utmost in pampering.
