Presenting a custom built frame off restored 1976 Ford F-250 “Highboy” Ranger package finished in red with a tan interior and only 5,142miles since restoration. It is powered by a V8 engine with automatic transmission and full time four wheel drive. This highly optioned truck came from the factory and includes the Ranger package, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes with front discs and rear drums, sliding rear window, rear step bumper, convenience group, visibility group and ammeter and oil gauges.
Offered from 1967 to 1977 the Ford F250 4x4s were nicknamed “Highboy” due to the requirements of their divorced transfer case. Because the driveline incorporated a divorced transfer case, it sat further back requiring a longer driveshaft. This meant more clearance was needed, so Ford designed the front end suspension to sit up higher. To level out these unique 4x4s, Ford used lift blocks to raise the rear. This all resulted in the “Highboys” receiving a factory-installed lift kit.
