Triumph TR6 was introduced in 1969 as a successor to the TR250 and
TR5 models. It featured a new body design by Karmann of Germany,
but retained the same chassis, engine and running gear as the
previous models. It was powered by a 2.5-litre straight-6 engine
that produced 104 hp and 143 lb-ft of torque in the US market,
where it was fitted with dual Stromberg carburetors instead of fuel
injection due to emission regulations.The TR6 was a popular model
in the US, where it sold over 76,000 units from 1969 to 1976. It
was praised for its handling, performance and timeless styling. The
TR6 was discontinued in 1976, and replaced by the TR7 in 1977. It
remains one of the most sought-after classic British sports cars
