Vehicle Description

This 1978 Ford Bronco Custom finished in gorgeous Dark Brown Metallic over Wimbledon White showing 61,200 miles was sold new at Armstrong Ford in Hickory North Carolina on December 20th 1977 and has remained in North Carolina since. The Bronco was ordered with a number of desirable options, including two tone paint, bucket seats with center console, swing away tire carrier and much more.At the heart of this Bronco is a rebuilt 351 cubic inch V8 backed by a recently rebuilt 3-speed C6 Automatic transmission and NP205 two speed part time transfer case. The engine was rebuilt under previous ownership and serviced/inspected by us, during the rebuild a mild performance camshaft, aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust was added. The complete fuel system including tank was replaced at this time. The automatic transmission was rebuilt during our ownership and shifts well and performs flawlessly as it should. The 4WD system works as it should. The factory 3.50 rear axle has had the fluids changed and been checked over. The shocks were replaced at all 4 corners, the front end has been gone through. The complete braking system has been replaced (booster, master cylinder, lines, calipers ect). All these upgrades and service make this a bronco that comfortably cruises on the highway at 75mph.The interior of the Bronco has been completely redone. The factory seats are refinished in a gorgeous brown checkered pattern. The carpet is brand new and in excellent shape. Dash pad is original and has no cracks. All the gauges and controls work as they should. The headliner has been replaced. Rear window has a new motor and works as it should. The interior of this truck is amazing. The exterior of the Bronco still wears mostly original Dark Brown Metallic over Wimbledon White paint. It has had the hood, left fender and door painted at some point early in life. The hood and left front door have some rust but the floors, cab mounts, quarters, tailgate ect are completely rust free and always have been. The paint has a good patina but does show some wear as you would expect. A set of OEM 15x6 Wagon Wheels wear a set of 33x12.5R15 BFG KM2 Mud-Terrain Tires.
