1979 Volkswagen Westfalia Bus
I purchased it a year and a half ago and in that time, I've had the following parts have been replaced:
Fuel pump, filter, lines filter and sender
Clutch kit
Plugs, Points, condenser, cap and rotor
Engine compartment seal
Shock absorbers and steering damper
C/V boots
Brake hoses and left rear wheel cylinder
Battery
Engine oil and filter, transmission fluid
Windshield and seal
Wiper blades
JVC Bluetooth stereo
Sink water pump
Front seats have been repaired and re padded
Front seat pedestal mats and step pads have been replaced
Dashboard is perfect. Clearly this bus has been garaged
Original rear seat and upper bunk upholstery and carpet in very good condition
Includes all curtains, mosquito net, child’s cot and table
Factory fitted Eberspacher gas heater has been reconditioned and works well
Fiberglass top has been repainted and has new seals. Canvas is original and in nice shape, only a couple of very small tears
There are a few dings and dents but this bus has never been in an accident and still wears its original paint. A few places have been touched up with spray paint and I expect that it could be taken off easily. It’s incredibly solid underneath too. The only rust I’ve seen is a small hole under the battery, a small rust bubble on the right rear ¼ panel and some surface rust where the pop top meets the body at the rear of the roof. I've always liked finding cars like this because You know there isn't any hidden rust or body filler.
