These Ascots are sought after bikes, because they are such great riding bikes. The 500cc single cylinder has great power and tons of torque. The brakes are disc front and rear, which was not all that common in the early 80s. Starting is an ease with an electric starter. The gearbox is a manual 5 speed. The bike also has a locking gas cap and helmet lock. Everything works on this bike all lights, horn, etc, just get on and enjoy the ride. The only flaw is the clear coat on top of the tank is worn through, but its hardly noticeable. These are great bikes for commuting, but are comfortable for longer trips.
