Vehicle Description
1982 Porsche 911SC sunroof
coupe. Finished in the correct original shade of Chiffon White,
this is a Euro/RoW car originally delivered in Germany (the
Euro-spec SC was rated at 204 horsepower vs. 180 for the US-market
cars). Certificate of Authenticity confirms original
numbers-matching engine and transmission. Paint and body present to
a nice standard with no observed corrosion underneath (Porsche
began fully galvanizing the 911 starting in 1977, so these tend to
hold up better than the early cars - floors, rockers, torsion bar
areas and front pan are all very solid on this one). The turbo tail
and engine lid, although not original to the car, are genuine
Porsche parts (so if the next owner wishes to replace it with a
slicktail, theres likely enough value in the 930 tail to fully
offset the cost). Nice 16-inch Fuchs are wearing Yokohama
tires.
Interior likewise presents to a nice standard, trimmed in brown
(with white inserts in the seats). Per the CoA, the car originally
had full brown interior. Seats, door panels, headliner and carpets
are in good condition. A plastic cap is fitted to the dash. All
gauges are working, including the clock. Modern stereo features USB
and aux input. Unlike many, this SC actually has working A/C thanks
to a system upgrade including R134a refrigerant, a Sanden
compressor, auxiliary condenser, and high-capacity blower with
center vent (we jokingly say that 911 A/C, if it works at all, is
like a mouse blowing over an ice cube - but this one will actually
keep you cool, even on a hot Savannah day).
