TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH/DIFFERENTIAL:
The gearbox is the factory original 5 speed - 4 plus G. 4:86-1 Locking differential. Works perfectly in all gears. No noises, no glitches. All smooth and quiet. Clutch works perfectly and smoothly. New clutch, flywheel, transaxle seal installed 8873 miles ago when the new engine was installed. Gearbox code AAN. Driveshaft/driveline was serviced and balanced at that time - sticker is still on the drive tube.
FUEL SYSTEM:
Original Fuel injection working perfectly. New fuel pump. Starts and runs perfectly.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Excellent original engine compartment. New engine with only 8873 miles. New exhaust. New power steering hoses. Not repainted. There is no rust.
BRAKES/SUSPENSION/WHEELS/TIRES:
New steel and rubber brake lines. Suspension is all original and intact. Five Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires - P225/70R16. Tires are getting old but still serviceable. Five rare Italian Italia wide rimeAT 16" Aluminum alloy wheels. Truck will need to be driven to reseat the brake pads - it has not been driven in the last 7 years and was kept in dry climate controlled storage.
INTERIOR/UPHOLSTERY:
All factory original interior is in the best condition as shown. Hate to use words "like new" but in this case there is no better way to describe the original upholstery. The seats aren't even dirty - The drivers side bolsters aren't even dirty with no evidence of even having any use at all. All seats look like brand new and they have not been replaced. Original factory carpeting, headliner, seats all look like they have never been used. All panels are the factory originals. The floors are like brand new. NO RUST. NO WEAR. Original seat belts.
EXTERIOR TRIM:
All exterior trim is in excellent condition as shown.
DASH AREA:
Excellent dash, gauges, etc - has a few small drilled holes where some things must have been attached - no idea what.
PAINT:
This is the original factory Tornado red enamel paint in excellent condition as shown. Never repainted. Some touch up spots here and there.
TREASURE CHEST COMPARTMENT:
Like brand new. Looks like it was never used. No rust anywhere. Factory paint even under the carpet is bright, shiny and like new. Both chest doors are like new - solid, straight and rust free.
UNDERCARRIAGE/CHASSIS:
Very good throughout as shown. Straight, undamaged and all original. Not as pretty as the top of the truck - but it is the business area that gets the dirt.
EXHAUST:
New VW exhaust system. No issues.
COOLING SYSTEM:
Original system works well. Runs cool. No issues.
GLASS:
Windows/windshield are all originals and in excellent undamaged unscratched condition. They roll up and down/slide solidly and easily. No issues.
ELECTRICAL:
New XS Power Battery. All in good condition. No issues.
SHEET METAL/BODY PANELS:
The sheet metal body panels are all in top notch rust free original condition as shown, as are the entire floor assemblys. It sports two Puch logo badges - no idea why these are on the truck but Syncro owners say that is correct. All doors open and close like new. No sag, no damage. Entire cabin is tight as a drum - like new condition.
