This 1990 Avanti Touring Sedan is number 82 of 90 sedans ever built. It was manufactured here in Youngstown, Ohio in June 1990 and was taken right off the production line by then Avanti Corporation owner, John J. Cafaro for his collection and personal use. It was never titled or registered as it was driven on manufacturers plates. A few years later this Avanti was given to Ohio Congressman James Traficant in the form of a bribe which later led to Traficant's seven year indictment. The politically connected trucking and storage facility that stored the Avanti was the first ever to apply for a title in 2002. For this reason it was branded as an "Unclaimed Affidavit" and the mileage though 4500 ACTUAL had to be labeled as Non-Actual on the title.
Other than a few scratches and stone chips the Avanti is like brand new. Since my ownership it has had an oil service, temperature sensor and I added four brand new Vogue tires. I also put a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo receiver and remote alarm. Everything is working perfectly including all power windows, locks, seats and ice cold A/C and hot heat.
The interior is lavish and like brand new. It was never smoked in and still smells new inside.
