This 2003 Chevrolet SSR is powered by a supercharged LS6 V8 mated to a modified four-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt over Ebony leather. Features include staggered-diameter alloy wheels, a retractable hardtop, a hard tonneau cover, power-adjustable seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and an AM/FM/CD stereo.
The SSR shares a platform with the contemporary TrailBlazer and features styling inspired by the post-war Chevrolet Advance Design family of trucks. This example is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt and is equipped with tinted windows, dual exhaust outlets, heated side mirrors, and a retractable steel hardtop that stows under a fixed panel between the cabin and pickup box. The cargo bed is accented with an SSR-branded carpeted mat and is covered by a body-color hard tonneau cover.
Silver 19″ and 20″ wheels wear 255/45 front and 295/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires with 2018 date codes. The brake calipers are said to have been replace in June 2021, when a brake-fluid flush was also performed.
The seats are upholstered in Ebony leather and are joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, SSR-branded floormats, and carpeting as well as body-color console trim. Additional appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and an AM/FM/CD stereo.
A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 10k miles, approximately 34 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
Power is from a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 that has been fitted with a water-cooled Magnuson supercharger and electric cooling fans. An oil change was performed in June 2021.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission that has reportedly been modified with a Yank torque-converter. The differential gears are also said to have been modified, and a stainless-steel exhaust system has been installed.
