Vehicle Description

2005 West Coast Customs Cobra.

This was one of the best platforms of American-built Cobra bodies ever. Lengthier details listed in paragraph below about their “donored Ford set-up” platform for ease of future parts service along with safety design standards like double-wall boxed steel frame components and Kevlar fuel cell that’s raised above the rear bumper height are some of the highlights.

West Coast designed a coil-over front suspension that spaced the front ball joints only 1” away from the front coils to optimize high-speed steering and control. Set-up with power rack & pinion and collapsible steeringshaft, they were safety and performance-minded in engineering. Equipped withhigher capacity 5 core cooling systems mounted “more vertically” with 2800 cfm fans, larger radiator shroud and air-bleed systems aid in keeping WCC built cars way cooler while idling than many competing designs.

ENGINE- This car has a well-built 460 big block. Roller rockers, forged crank & ported heads among other mods are producing more HP than is probably necessary. The engine bay is polished and trimmed out nicely.Cobra finned dual-quad aluminum air cleaner fitted over 4 bbl carb. It runs really well with no lag, no knocks and no smoking. With just over 710 miles logged and 28 hours of run time on the gage, it performs really well.  The detail under the bay is very nice.  Hood pins were left off intentionally during test drive video.

TRANS: Tremec T-5 with Hydraulic clutch performs effortlessly.

PAINT & BODY: Tangerine Glo Tri-stage metallic finish has under 750 miles since application and has been covered since painted. All areas present well. The body is fitted nicely with good panel gaps. Minimal road time and very few if any rock chips. Comes with fitted deluxe cover.

REAR END: An adjustable Ford 9” solid axle 4 link with posi- chrome coilovers. It’s dialed in nicely and tracks well.

INTERIOR: With under 800 miles driven the buckskin faux hydes and fitted carpets show really well. Full instrumentation including head temp, vacuum and all other standard VDO gages. The side panel trim all presents nicely. Aftermarket Racing Harnesses. WCC used Ford parts wherever possible for easier service. The dash is set up with Ford A/C/heater controls, to make installing future A/C  a bit easier should the next owner choose to. All gages, lights & e-brake function well. Ford tilt-column for easy entry.

WHEELS & TIRES: Polished Billet Centerlines are in greatcondition with no curb scuffing. They could stand polishing. Dunlop P255 frontsand P295 Rears still have nibs present on the tread.

DRIVABILITY: The car starts, idles, accelerates and performs very well. The brakes, clutch and steering/suspension are all very tight. The car drives straight with hands off the wheel at 70 mph.
